The illustrations are so detailed and accurate, even the eggshell textures look real. My son loves pointing out the different nest materials on each page.

My four-year-old asks questions constantly, and this book finally gives me solid answers about how birds build nests. The page showing the egg development stages is her favorite part. It's turned into our bedtime read for the third night in a row.

The illustrations are gorgeous and genuinely detailed, not the usual cartoony stuff. My six-year-old keeps flipping back to the nest cross-section page and asking what each layer is made of. Solid hardback too, so it's surviving being hauled around constantly.
